Great albondiga soup! Havent had good one in a long time with side of Mexican rice and warm corn tortillas. Potatoes, zucchini and carrots delish! Also 2 hard shell tacos with shredded beef rice and beans. Very well stuffed with meat cheese lettuce and pico de gallo. I was born and raised in E.L A. So always went to the original el tepeyac after Garfield football games. I moved to the I.E to teach in Rialto at age 29. Now retired and moved to Escondido.Recently, attended my cousins funeral on 11/20 at rose hills in whittier and just happened to Google restraunts near me and El tepeyac came up. Took my husband (who born and raised in pacoima) and loves albondiga soup. He loved it! We will be returning soon as it brought back many good memories. He will try the famous burrito next time and i will have a michilada. Missing my RAZA.

Classic Pork Chile Verde Burrito

I have been a loyal patron of Tepeyac for over 50yrs. I knew Manny for many of those years and even sat with him at the race track a couple of times. My favorite burrito is the Okie burrito because it has everything in it: meat, rice, beans, guacamole w/ cheese and enchilada sauce on top. In my younger days i would order the Okie and an order of taquitos (with the generous portion of guacamole on top). A few times i would order the Manuel's Special and be able to finish it (barely), but not anymore. Your burrito has a homemade appeal to it and I will always order it when I visit your establishment.
